Taking the indirect route towards music,I first worked as a construction technician to change later to a bank clerk before I completed my studies for saxophone and clarinet at the Jazzkonservatorium Vienna, specializing in”12-tone-music” at the University of music in Vienna.

From 1980 onwards I have worked as a musician for several theater-productions and as a sound-studio musician for television and the advertising industry.

In 1988 I started giving lessons for Saxophone, Clarinet and transverse flute at the J.M.Hauerconservatorium in Wiener Neustadt.

Beside this, I have been invited to work as a lecturer in the most various workshops and symposia (castel Zeillern, Master Class Universidad Da Vinci – Guatemala City…)

As of 1985 until today I was part of “Magic Sound, participating in countless live events and recording vinyls and CDs.

I arranged several LP and CD productions, among others with Supermax, Paul Gulda, W. Ambros, Magic Sound (awarded several times with gold and platinum, being number 1 in Austrian charts), Elisabeth Engstler, Backdoor Bluesband, Sax&Organ, Sax&Voice, Hommage to Nat King Cole , and many more.

Among the most important music projects I want to highlight the cooperation with Bill Ramsey, Roland Batik, Al Bano Carrisi, Peter Herboltzheimer, Paul Gulda, Stefanie Werger, Wolfgang Puschnig, Dave Palmer (Jethro Tull), Elisabeth Engstler, Viktor Gernot, Christian Kolonovits, Falco, Herwig Seeböck, Backdoor Bluesband and many more.

Composing of sound-tracks, jazz and background music completes my daily work.

Events, which are/were important for me are among others “Der Knochenmann” ,”Sax&Organ” and “Sax&Voice”.
