Saxordeon

On 21 March, 2008 at Backstage in Wr. Neustadt. Jazz/Klassik

An experiment has turned into a program. Saxophone and accordion meet each other; they form a contrast, enflame each other to produce harmonies never heard so far. This peculiar and fascinating character of the music turns Mozart’s Turkish Dance into swing and brings themes from Thelonious Monk and Sonny Rollins into a new harmony.

Simone Beer and Schneckerl Schultner set the audience on fire with jazz-standards, classical music and Klezmer and their joy is immediately transmitted to the audience. Two powerful musicians form an exceptional combination – Saxordeon… Simone Beer (accordion) and Josef “Schneckerl” Schultner (saxophone).

Location: Backstage
Brodtischgasse 16, 2700 Wr.Neustadt
